Copywrite - The idea that copyright should be maintained only by the original creator(s).  They have the only rights to the content they create.  Material may either be open source (public domain) or closed source (protected by the creator(s)).  Also once material is open sourced it will remain open source forever.

The copywrited information would be relesed into the public domain if:
  - The author(s) wished it into such existance.
  - The author died.
